November news . . .

Last month I said that we hoped to present to the community, this side of Christmas, the ‘first cut’ of ideas that Pentan, the architects, were proposing. Unfortunately, time has got the better of us and this won’t be possible.  One of the reasons for this is that the Group thought it would be a good idea for Pentan to visit Llanfoist Village Hall, which Monmouthshire County Council were key in delivering. We believed it would be valuable if they could see some of the feature that the Group had been so impressed with when some of us visited earlier this year.

Yesterday, Pentan and some of the group were shown around  Llanfoist Hall again. The architects were similarly impressed, took some measurements and have now gone off to try to incorporate some of the ideas into their proposals.  All being well, we will show you the designs early in the New Year, at 2 or 3 locations in the villages over a week or two.

Please bear with us.  Progress is being made, albeit a bit slower than planned but we want to get the key component of the community hub as near as possible to what you told us you wanted.

Please watch this space and don’t forget you can keep up to date with progress of the Magor and Undy Walkway station by visiting magorstation.co.uk

Thank you for your ongoing support as indicated by the increasing number of ‘likes’ on our Facebook page.
