As the storms subside . . .

Yes, February has been an exceedingly wet and windy month, but it has not dampened MUCH’s spirits.

The plans for the V.E. day celebrations continue to take shape.  MUCH will be putting on a 1940s themed tea-party on the Sunday afternoon of the 3-day event.  Taking place at the Memorial Hall, it will include food, music and entertainment for those who would like to share in the nostalgia prompted by the importance of this historic day.

The Buildings Group, headed by Mike Burke, continues to progress the lighting improvements for the 3 Fields Site and Car Park.  Although the weather has hampered progress with the orchard tidy up, the group are seeking a grant to erect signage to show the names of the varieties of apple trees on the site.  In addition, work is underway to plan and cost the items required to equip the Hub’s halls and other facilities.

The Resources, and Policies & Admin groups continue to generate new policies required for the operation of the hub, have completed the business plan, and are now ready submit the Stage 1 application to the ‘People and Places – Wales’ lottery funding body.

Finally, a reminder that MUCH is running a Coffee Morning at the Memorial Hall this coming Tuesday (3rd March) at 10.00am.  All welcome!
