A quick update for February . . .

Not so MUCH to report this month. . .

Our February meeting discussed progress within the work-groups; e.g. the development of the charitable organisation application, the lottery bid development, communications (particularly with young people), financing and the building and grounds issues.  The status of the Section 106 funding, from the Rockfield Farm development by Bellway Homes, was also discussed. This is now imminent and key to obtaining the additional funding needed from other sources. The notes of the meeting will appear in the ‘Meetings and Minutes’ section shortly.

The Trustees continue to establish themselves as a steering group but suffered a setback with the unexpected resignation of one of its members.  The Trustees will be meeting again shortly to discuss a number of matters including; the impact of the resignation of Rob Ollerton, who had been a great help to shaping the work so far, and how to accelerate progress in starting the build.

Don’t forget, the general meetings, held about every six weeks (advertised and recorded in the ‘minutes and meetings’ section – here), are open to everyone and we would particularly like to see people who think they might like to run groups or organise events in The Hub.
