Our monthly meeting, mid-month, covered a number of areas that are progressing well but focus was principally on the ‘funding gap’ between the money that MCC have earmarked from the Section 106 money (resulting from the Rockfield Farm development) and the estimated cost of building The Hub and the associated groundworks. Later in the month Mike Moran and Andy Smith of MCC provided us with a list of funding options to explore and gave appropriate guidance. The Resources Group will now prepare grant applications, with the help of a special GAVO ‘surgery’ being held later this month.

This month, group members will be taking up training opportunities, continuing to develop the ‘Constitution’ and making further efforts to engage young people to help shape what is needed from The Hub
